So, I have this idea for a theme. I am calling it ToyGun. When I was a boy, I had these toy guns that had a really cool leafy texture on all of the metal and the handles were a fake ivory.

I have tried to make this theme my self, but I can't seem to get it the way I want. The only way I can get it to work is if I use metalifizer to metalifize. But when you do this and click the show tools button on the finder window it crashes finder, and it doesn't allow PhotoShop to open.

You can see where I am going with this theme here .

If you like, I can provide you with all of the graphics, PSDs so that it can get finished. I have not the time or know-how to make it.

Thanks,

R

was your intention just to change the brushed aluminium to leafy aluminium? (with a consistant look across all window types?)
Or were there other changes you intended? =)
(I have never used metalifizer, so I can't help in that department.)

The other changes that I intended was to make all of the stuff that is usually Aqua or Graphite to a nice antiqued ivory color. If you have ever seen old ivory you know what I mean.
The idea is to make the OS look like a prize weapon or something that looks like it was made in the victorian era. The beautiful contrast of decorated metal and ivory

I would provide the rest of the look if you wanted. I could give you what ever you needed to get it done.

If you have already made up some idea of what it should look like completed, I'd be interested in seeing that. =)

Sometimes, not knowing can be an advantage. Without knowledge, you don't know what can't be done. =)
A couple of months back I had never even used a theme. LOL

OK. I tried to make some ivory looking stuff and it didn't look that good next to that texture on the metal. Maybe what I really want is to have the metal all over. Sheesh, I don't know. Though, I think that engraved metal would look cool system wide.

Here are some links to kinda what I am talking about.

looks real nice. that subtle ivory will be a great color addition to the current clean theming.

thought about reversing the idea?
metal widgets and ivory bushed texture for the windows... if you could get the opulance right it could be gorgeous. it would not be just another white theme with that great aluminum metal as the rollover it could look like a revolver loading.

Hmmm... I can see how I might do this in the old Kscheme days...
However, this will take some thought to make it work within the limitations of OSAqua.

Coming from the other side of the planet, I'm not really a gun person, though I have to admit there are some nice textures in those images. =)

I will let this percolate in my head for a while and see what comes out =)
