This new theme is ready to be driven around the block.
I quite like the idea of this 'DT X-Anon' theme...
but I'm wondering about the direction I should take it.
If anyone would like to give me suggestions related to it, I would appreciate that very much.
Thanks
Enjoy
=)

(smeger: this is a theme that would like to have a few pixels trimmed off the top of the metal window's upper center bevel)

new alternate version now available:

LATEST RELEASE:

One awesome theme dragon
In safari it's really hard to see the url in the url part
Maybe add some different colours too
Other than that it's one awesome theme

That's the metal windows, that's why. I do love the metal windows but everything else needs work, I'm guessing that's due to it being a beta.

Great start!!!

The metal apps all suffer from the unreadable text problem, which of course can be fixed. The one thing that bothers me is the menu highlight color is so similar to the menu backgrounds that you can't tell what is being selected/highlighted... perhaps more contrast is needed.

Very nice looking theme, I'm looking forward to the final.

I like that idea DT, in my opinion make the window bar widget switch back to silver, it would make a nice contrast

But that menu bar is ffing great.

Yeah I like where you're going with this one, especially
the finder window. That's gonna be one fine theme

Very cool theme. Are the extending lines between tabs on purpose? The reason I ask is because it makes the tabs look kinda "sketched out" like in DBX, but the rest of the theme looks finished.

That sounds interesting, but I can't quite see what you are describing. Which are you calling the window bar widget?

They were originally designed to be extended, (I liked them) but the design evolved, (I couldn't find a way to keep the extended lines consistant throughout the theme) so they may end up going.

Yes the black text on black background is a pain... I was trying to avoid going to white text.
Apple's OSX.3 Aqua is really three themes in one... (in my opinion) brushed aluminium, white stripes with blue glass, and a semi plastic alloy title bar thing.
So I figured, this theme could work with the dark and light 'metal' window, and the brushed aluminium window, (sort of reversing where Apple put the brushed aluminium).
However, having a dark window, and a light window, creates a problem with text colour.
Being able to fine-tune when text is a particular colour would be cool.
I may end up with a version where all windows have this light/dark effect, but I would still like to keep a version that has both the light/dark and brushed Alloy effect.

The menu highlight colour was meant to be subtle... then it became too subtle so I added a widget... but you are right... I have reduced it's transparency.. that should fix it. =)

Some of my indecisions have been... text colouring, safari's url window, finder button design
(question: the 'magnifying glass' in the Safari url... where does that come from? can it be edited?)

Dragons are not old... they just appear that way, because they live so long.
Dragons are so dense, they slow down time.
