Well it seems people have taken notice of my website and gone forth and downloaded the theme so I thought I'd make it offical.
Its another port (I'm getting good at it) . The original was done by the ever amazing Bant and he'd mentioned there could possibly be an OS X port so I stuck my hand up and said 'Hey I'll do it!'. So here you have it, Ashen it ready for download.
It comes with Safari and iChat skins and 5 high res desktops done by Bant himself.
Charcoal and soot, extending forever.
Unyielding clouds, suffocate, sever.
Silence echoes in half-broken hearts.
White marble pillars, crumble to ruins.
All hope, leveled, the fall of an empire,
Rubble from greed, ashes from fire.
No matter the strength we exert to erase.
No rag or soap will clean this face.
This shadow remains, like graphite on paper.
Do not forget, our ashen landscaper.
~Bant
Click theFLANNELeffect in my sig and go to the themes section.
Also I'm up in the air about a new theme, I'm ok if its a port because I like doing them. Anyways go out and download it

I second that.
Also, I think the bat is a great idea, so much different from previous designs.

looks nice but can I see a full preview of it? A menu and a metal window doesn't really cut it as a preview for me because I rarely see a metal window as it is. I suggest making the preview images on your site link to a nice full preview showing your work off and not an annoying unexpected download link like it currently is

Best theme ever! Well for now lol.
It lacks an iTunes skin, but then again it might not look that great with the whole metal limitation... but I'd like to see an attempt at it.
Full screen preview (just my main display)

Full 1280x1024 - MacSnaps page

I'd toyed with it but there are few themes which an itunes skin works well with and this unfortunately is one of them. I"ll be releasing a small update soon to fix a widget problem I'd forgotten

I've updated it to 1.0.1 , fixes a small widget problem. Avaliable from my site as always
And Justin your gonna laugh I actually had a light titlebar in one of the previous versions but ditched it last minute. I'll probably ad it in the an update in a few days.

you should think about doing something different with the finder buttons.

both actually. the finder is such a big part of a theme now i hate to see the buttons all looking the same in every theme. the buttons in chosen are a nice example of something different.

Excellent theme, prefer it to the Classic - K10K version you made.
Normally hate the smell of windows 'ports'.
With 'Metallifizer' you don't see the 'drawn' edges, and it does
remind me of a modern ButtO'Sigh's 'Menu Enhancer Sample'
(formerly dxb) theme, Maybe it's just the color of the finder
windows etc. But somehow both look had drawn - Ashen with
a far less shaky hand - maybe drawn with an 'etch-e-sketch'.
The finder (X-+) widgets look a little 'messy' but on the whole
a very pleasingly designed theme. Little touches like the bat/bird
animations are quirky, but in a good way.
Thanks ;)
