I am making an OSX theme but I have better skills with Fireworks than PS, so I need to load things up in FW then somehow get it into PS so that I can use Themepark's "Import from Photoshop" command. The problem is, it seems like no matter what export settings I save a file in, the transparency is not preserved when I pull the image up in PS. Anyone know of how to get an image from FW into PS while preserving transparency?

Try saving as a TIFF with transparency. If it looks right in Preview.app, it'll work in ThemePark, and you can drag the TIFF file directly into ThemePark to import it.

What about using the clipboard? couldn't you just select all > copy / new document in PS / edit > paste?? Just a thought....

Dave-o, that does not work. The clipboard won't save the transparency from FW to PS. I tried Smeger's idea and it seems to work on single pieces but when I try to replace several images at once TP crashes.

Slayer-X, don't ever say the C-Word about Themepark.. Smeger's heart can't handle that level of stress and shock....

Bummer about the copy and paste.. i find it odd, but then again i use PS and not FW... :/

I don't have the crash log no more. I gave up trying to do what I was doing for the time being. Next time I give it an attempt, if it crashes, I'll see if I can save the crash log.

It happened when I took and loaded up the first 12 images of the Async large arrow in FW, made my edits, saved as a tiff, opened in Preview, and in TP I highlighted the first 12 images to replace, dragged the image from Preview, and then it stalled, then crashed. TP crashed I mean. Ithappened twice in a row, so I moved on to working on another element for a while.

While on the subject of crashes and bugs, I noticed that for no apparent reason, sometimes I have to quit TP and restart it in order to use the Send/Retrieve from Photoshop buttons. It just seems that sometimes the buttons don't do anything when I push them, and restarting TP gets them to work again. The conditions are so random though, there's nothing that seems to set it off, or cause it. It just happens. Not that big of a deal though.
