hmm... from that small preview, it looks decent, something that "gets out of the way" what does the rest of it look like?
i'm too lazy to come up with a sig

Hmm. After looking to the full preview, I think it looks very good. And promising. I hope you put the effort to finish it. The only thing I believe might give you some problems, are those bezels on the buttons. And maybe, once finished, a bit more of contrast could be good, at least on some elements.

Interesting titlebar widgets. I wonder if there's any way (or reason) to make the close/windowshade/maximize widgets slightly distinct from one another. Maybe coloring them on a rollover (i.e., close has a faint red outline, windowshade has a faint yellow outline, etc.)?

Okay... I have a question... HOW DID YOU REMOVE THE MENU BAR SHADOW!!! I've been trying to figure that out for a LONG time... It looks better with Flat themes.

Doesn't WindowShadeX do it? If not, DeskShade will do it for you, though remove all desktop icons in the process.
