What do you guys do (besides excluding the apps) when you've got a SS theme that doesn't have a skin of it's own?

If you "exclude it", then it will switch back to Aqua when you're using that app.

Is Candybar recommended to change my icons if I'm using SS?

Thanks...

You can drag'n'drop iContainers in SS and use it as ShapeShifter.

CandyBar v2 won't even launch whenever ShapeShifter v2 is running. You can search for in depth comments by Smeger and others, posted here around the time both upgrades were made available.

That is not true, it will run aslong as ss2 icons are set to default

it is a small pain for customization . . .

Turn off SS
Open CB - make changes
Turn on SS
Log out and back in again - eight times a day.

I have to admit not having tried the iContainer drop method - suggested above. Gonna give it a run. thx for the suggestion
