The finder allows you to change the size of the icons on your desktop (command-j), but it keeps all desktop icons the same size. i was wondering if there is any way that i can make my hard disk (or any disk icons, for that matter) a larger size than my folder icons on the desktop. is this possible? thanks.

IconSizeEnabler was able to do it in 10.2.x, but no longer can perform the task under 10.3.x.

If you are running Jaguar, then it will be fine, otherwise, I have no idea how it would be done under Panther.

IconSizeEnabler is...
A Haxie (Application Enhancer Module) that makes it possible to use multiple icon sizes in a single Finder window or on the Desktop. It add Finder's hidden debug "Icon Size" menu at the bottom of View menu.
Check it out HERE

If anyone knows how to achieve this under Panther, please share
