Here's a question to Jason and Slava and the rest of the GUI monsters:
Can someone come up with a utility that will allow us to set the tile background flags in the Finder's plist file to "1" instead of "0" so we don't have to manually edit the prefs file by hand to allow the tiling of a graphic in Finder windows?
With all the amazing applications and haxies that have been written to alter the GUI, it seems to me (although I know ZERO about programming) that there must be a simple way to add this functionality into some new little application or an existing one (say Tinkertool, for example).
Am I wrong? Please enlighten (or better yet please just write the damn thing - I'd pay for it!).
Thanks for listening. Let the comments fly!

To dislike Sinatra is a sign of highly questionable taste. To dislike the Beatles is a serious character flaw.

Listen... one at a time, please. Don't everyone rush to answer all at once.

Sorry. Caught me in the whole 'fly out of San Francisco' deal. =)
And there probably should be a way for author of TinkerTool to add it. Modifying the Finder GUI to allow the checkbox directly in the view options window is ugly (gotta love PowerPlant). Ask the TinkerTool guys probably? =)

Just an update for those interested...
I e-mailed the author of Tinkertool and he said that this feature could, indeed, be added to the freeware version of Tinkertool (as opposed to shareware 'Tinkertool System') and would consider adding it to the next (or a future) release.
Cool beans.
