I was looking at screen shots and saw this.

I like how the icons are grouped. I've searched versiontracker for dock apps but didn't see anything that describes a feature similar to what I'd like. I also did a search in this forum adn didn't have any luck. Anyone know what this is?

It's not an application. They are just using blank icons as seperators.

Ah ha. Well that explains why it was so hard to find....cause there's nothing to find! Thanks a lot for the quick response!

if you look up "dock dividers" someone has made little bars you can put in your dock for either horizontal or vertical that look very nice as well.

You can see them in use here as well:

They work really well for me for separating out my internet apps from my utilities and from the finder.

Dock Dividers by Adam Betts
Dock Separators from iPassion

BTW, they can be dragged into the Finder Sidebar as well.

Simply put, these are folders renamed to .app a lot of times, with a blank name. A special icon is then placed on it. So if you wanted to make it become a bar or whatever that'd work just as well.

Wow, a lot of great responses. Thanks for all the help...I appreciate it! I'm going to check out all the options that have been posted. I like the blank spaces a lot, but the vertical dividers aren't too shabby either.

Tick - That wallpaper of yours is awesome.
