Can anyone enlighten me on how I can go about extracting things like the desktop pics, the icons and so on from a GUI Kit? There are some themes out there that may not be particularly exciting yet they do have good icon sets or cursor sets or desktop pics that are bundled together with the kit. I'd like to extract those individual elements but for the life of me I do not know how to do it. Any and all guidance is greatly appreciated my Mac brethren.

I agree, this would be helpful. As it stands now I've got 2 monitors but Shapeshifer can only apply the background to the primary. If I could pull out the background I could apply it to both. Any ideas?
Thanks

Sounds like you and I are in the same boat. We're probably asking a very naive question which is why no one with the know is throwing us a life jacket. I have some very cool .gui kit themes for ShapeShifter that have embedded in them some very cool desktop wallpapers. I want to extract them from the .gui file but I don't know how. Come on now. Sombody's got to know. Peace. . .

I tried opening them up in ThemePark but it said it was unable to open the file? Seems like I should be able to pull them out via TP, but I guess not. Maybe SS should have an option to save the backgrounds?

Apply the theme, desktops, icons, etc. Log/out/in and then navigate to your ~users/library/caches/shapeshifter/mods folder and the theme resources are in there.....

Thank you, thank you and thank you my fellow macster. Now that's what I am talking about. I knew it had to be something insanely simple and right in front of my face. YOU ROCK for guiding me in the right direction. So, I suppose that all the theme extra elements can be found amongst the cached mods files then?
