Apple finally fixed what has bugged me ever since Panther was released... Transparent windows...
I hated how you could see the shadow through the transparency... it just made it look really dirty and bad. (Sort of like it was a piece of glass filled with smoke). Well, I'm pleased to let you all know that Apple fixed this (bug) to make it the way it used to be in the "Jaguar days".

At least I hope they fixed this System wide and not just fixed the Terminal heh.

Check it out.

COOL!

I don't get it. I see shadows through your terminal window.

But not the shaddow of the Terminal Window [i]itself[/b]. Previously if you made the window transparent the windows shaddow would continue underneath, covering whatever you could see through the window, (that was a more 'realistic' view anyway) thay shouldn't have 'got rid' of the shaddow, but made it lighter with the window. i.e. if you had it set to 20% transparency the shaddow would be lighter than if you set it to say 90%.

Actually in Panther it would do that at first but all you have to do is click off the window or resize it to make it go away.

I get it. Thanks. I never noticed that.

WindowShadeX is one way to make them transparent. And it's updated for Tiger.

It's also a setting of terminal itself.

Terminal -> Window Settings, then choose 'color' from the popup menu. There's a transparency slider at the bottom.
Just who are Britain? What do they? Who is them? And why?
