I'm wondering why the icons I drag to my Tiger sidebar revert to the default Tiger icons even though I've changed them using CandyBar 2.5? The icon changed OK in my Applications folder.

Apple's implementation of icon caching in the Finder sidebar is pretty funky. You might need to play around with dragging icons in and out, and deleting <your home directory>/Library/Preferences/com.apple.sidebarlists.plist and relaunching the Finder to get them to stick.

They usually stick properly the first time, but it appears that it's fairly common for them not to.

After doing a complete system icon change using CandyBar, I usually simply reboot and all is well.
