I used to have Shapeshifter (1.8 i think it was or somthin like that) and it worked fine, i was happy as larry. However I recently downloaded the recent version (2.0.1) and i cant apply themes anymore.

When i try to apply one, it comes up with a window saying that...

'Your settings have been reset to aqua because either your system or shapeshifter updated'
(or somethin along those lines anyway!)

I dont know why its doing it though so any have any ideas???

For the record i have Candybar as well which i think may be the cause of it but i have read elsewhere that the two apps run fine alongside each other.

I have also tried removing the .plist etc and uninstalling/reinstalling SS but still no luck.

Im on an iBook G4, Mac OS X 10.3.9, CandyBar 2.5, Shapeshifter 2.0.1

Delete <your home directory/Library/Caches/ShapeShifter and log out/in.

nope that didnt work either, i also tried uninstalling candybar but still comes up with the message.

I'm having a prob. with ShapeShifter also, but concerning Maya 6.0. If Shapeshifter is enabled and I click the shelf triangle, The pop-up window does not draw and Maya immediately crashes. After Disabling APE and logging back in the problem no longer occurs.
