Shapeshifter 2.1 on 10.4.1 is causing my (old'ish) copy
of Illustrator 10.0.3 to do this crazy trick - Anyone else ?

Turning off or putting 'Ill' in the exclude list is
working for me but what a weird side-effect.

WOW! I have never had any problem with ShapeShifter.

But that will be a cool feature in Illustrator and Photoshop.

I had some really weird problems with Shapeshifter and Illustrator when I upgraded to Tiger and had to disable Illustrator in the Shapeshifter preferences. Whenever I clicked with the arrow tool on an object, it would hide illustrator and open a new window in the finder. Really weird. Here's hoping for some updates, cuz I hate having an inconsistent GUI.

This is a problem with ShapeShifter 2.1. It's fixed for an upcoming 2.1.1 release. elementality's solution works fine - add Illustrator to ShapeShifter's exclude list.

I'm being slightly pedantic but... didn't I say
putting 'Ill' in the exclude list was working for me ?

'Elementality' just reiterated what I had already said.

Anyway heres hoping for that update soon.

Sorry, benign - I just saw your pic and then skipped ahead. Didn't mean to pee in your porridge!

Smeager-

Not sure if you are aware of this, but it also appears to do the same thing with the "save for web" dialog in Photoshop 7 (which, I beleive is a function of image Ready).

Point of Information: The Save For Web option in Photoshop is ImageReady's extension into Photoshop. It even says across the titlebar 'Powered by ImageReady.'

THANK YOU

I was having the SAME problem.

I emailed you guys, you just asked what theme, and then did not get back to me

At first I thought it was the WoW beta doing it, but found later it was SS, I found out though it was causing WoW to flicker when a window updated under it in windowed mode.
