Hi
I'm not sure if this topic has been discussed..I searched the forum but only got info on how to make os icons into windows icons...i want to do the opposite.

I've seen a few sets made for windows only, and really like them and would like to use them on os x, is this possible to do?

Also when i try to download these files they are pngs but then its in a rar format...so how can i open them in os x is it possible?

Pixadex at $18.95 is rather expensive but can
if you so wish convert between the OS formats,
with drag n' drop simplicity...

I'm surprised there still isn't anything else out there that can read the Win icon format. Not that Pixadex isn't nice, but...

Stuffit Expander can also unrar.

Try a Ctrl-Click on the link and pick "Download Linked File" from the contextual menu.

Iconverter is the best. It's free, powerful, and can convert between nearly any image file that supports alpha blending (including .ico and .icns) into any other format. Although it does seem to have some problems with converting .ico to .icns, or perhaps it's just a compatibility issue.

Option-click a download link that tries to load in the browser window. This forces the file to download
