so im a bit interested in transparent dock and would be willing to drop the $8 bucks for it. but i have a question, if you pay for it, when it gets updated, will you need to drop more cash onto it to keep the "license" so you dont have to deal with the weekly reminder thing? not that i dont think its a good product and not that the price isnt expensive, but if i have to pay everytime with an update on my tiger book, i think id pass. thanks for the help

As far as I know you shouldn't have to pay for updates, unless it's a major update (this usually doesn't happen though)
However I'd suggest you try out Clear Dock by Unsanity first, this is the program I use and find it very useful (it might not have all the features you wish to use though)

i bought transparent dock several years ago, and when there's an update, there's no charge.

only time i think there would be is if a whole new version comes out (with new features etc).

cleardock is great, but if you want the features of TD, it's worth it.
