Hi all you avid coders out there...
As a non coder who knows just a smattering of html and flash stuff I was wonderin' if it ever will be possible to code an entire gui (ala shapeshifter or other ape app) that would give similar results to the portal of the xanthic eye website as linked below ?
I have always been amazed at its sheer simplicity and beauty and think it would really take the osx dock idea to a new level... ie a beautiful metallic hidden strip that opens on mouse-over and pulses its tabs/buttons for whatever the user applies them to e.g. frequent apps, utilities, folders etc.
Seeing that certain aspects of confabulator widgetry wizardry seems to be going in this direction I am assuming (in my admitted naivety) that this will someday be possible... what are the chances guys ?
Is it possible for individuals in this current generation (or next) of coding prowess to ever achieve such an instance a static desktop with movable and moving desktop interface elements for a cool 3d kinda experience ?
