Every single time I try to apply a theme, it goes through the process, then relaunches my finder, but the theme is ALWAYS Aqua ( the original ) please help!

You installed SS and then restarted, without applying a theme, like the installer recommended? I state the obvious not to poke but since reading read me's are way down on the to do list for most of us you should try that first. Don't worry if you did try applying one already, just restart.

I had it working perfectly: I went away for two days, and suddenly it says the demo expired, but it said it was registered. I restarted my comp after reinstalling SS and still no luck :-/

The demo is 15 days. Once it is over - that's it - it resets to Aqua. I can't make you decide this is good product but for $20 - well - it's a good product. If you did not get your full 15 days worth [minus of course your own 2 day loss for personal reasons] contact Unsanity, ask for help from them, you're certainly not the first to run into an issue.

Er, I don't know how to ask delicately if you purchased ShapeShifter, so I'll just say that it isn't unknown for, ah, Arrr Matey serial numbers to appear to register ShapeShifter, but 15 days later...poof.

I had SS for 4 months, and now all of a sudden, BOOM, is gone

go through all "unsanity" entries when searched for in Spotlight. From there you should select "com.unsanity.shapeshifter.reg.plist" and maybe the regular shapeshifter.plist and delete them by dragging them to the Trash. You'll need to enter your registration information again. But maybe this will fix it. I have no proof that it will since I never experienced that particular problem you're having.

that was where I was going next. That works everytime. The uninstall does not remove that file - keeps people who don't pay from just reinstalling easily.
