Hey, (I just loooove this smilie)
I was just wondering something concerning the new Leopard BETA that was given to developpers last week. Could it be possible to extract some files, some icons, wallpapers, screensavers or files to change the appearance of Tiger and make it look more unified and Leopard-ish? What about files like extras.rsrc that control the look of the UI?
Does anybody have access to the BETA here?
PS: I hope this kind of topic isn't "forbidden". If so, sorry...

Almost certainly not, but there are already theming apps for Tiger that you can use to get the look without Leopard's files being involved at all.

It is forbidden, but I do know some apps to legally mod Tiger to behave like Leopard, its in a thread at Macrumor's forum, I don't know if I could find it.

Yeah I've just discovered UNO, it looks great, I will try it later. But I was more interested in new stuff like icons, screensavers etc.
Thanks for your help anyway!

Hi arnoz, I use Glass, some people don't like the transparent look though!
It does give the same window treatment except in Safari. I also noticed that with Leopard the window feature will be more easy to theme to, I'm in no way a themer by the way. It would be nice to get response from themer's & what they think!

i do not think this is possible. i have Leopard and things are seriously different.
the closest that i think that you can get is:
Musings from Mars » Crystal Clear: Pushing Mac OS X Windows Beyond Translucent
It's cool, but not completely unified.
you have to use shapeshifter and you can make tons of changes to get "close" to leopard, but it is not close enough if you asked me. shapeshifter also makes the system very unstable for me.
you can then use candybar and look for different icons or individual icons and that is cool too.
moving right along i do not think that there is anything that can emulate the dock or stacks or anything like that. but for spaces use Virtuedesktop, it is actually tons better than spaces.
i do not think that there is anything for that quick file preview... in any event i think that is all that i can remember. good luck...
