PC icon for Airport Extreme in 10.5 Finder, why?
Does anyone know, why the icon for the airport extreme in my finder resemble the default PC icon?

Because among other protocols, it's sharing using the Windows filesharing protocol (CIFS/SMB).

Gotha,

Hmmm,

Is there a way to disable the windows sharing. I don't have any PC computers around, I would like to get rid of the icon?

Thanks

Open Airport Utility, go to the disk part of your Airport, and make sure that the option to share using smb is turned off.
