okay, so my rant on my own 'unsanity' thread notwithstanding...i just installed fruitmenu on my G4 powerbook, running 10.5.2.

seems to work. seems.

anyone else using the beta?
my applemenu works, but the contextual menus...
i get "more" on my menu, and when i go to that, i have a submenu that INCLUDES all my fruitmenu setup.

so, instead of one dropdown menu, i have to access a submenu to use the app.

is that it? anyone else have a report??

thanx!

Fruitmenu beta reliably crashes whatever app you have frontmost. I followed some of the suggestions on the Unsanity blog, but it didn't help, and frankly, after four months of delays, I don't need it all that much. I am glad to have Silk and Windowshade back however.

Perhaps by summertime (the Steve Jobs' definition), we'll have functioning haxies for 10.5.2...but by then, 10.5.3 will be out and it starts all over again. I'm not sure I have the patience to betatest for Unsanity any longer. How the mighty have fallen...from being the darlings of a small but proud group of Macintosh enthusiasts to becoming a pariah in their community and in Apple Corporate. The best solution–Apple buys them out and incorporates their ideas into the system software ala iTunes. It probably won't happen, but one can always hope.
