I'd kind of interpreted that thread as being not so much for desktops per se as for changes like mods to the dock or little homemade applications that add functionality to the GUI or such. I could be wrong, but I kind of think they're two different things.

Good call. I guess it seems to be considered the main page to use to display any type of desktop alterations, since it's still going strong after starting in 2002. Didn't mean to derail the thread, just letting you know of its existence.

As the others said, the screenshot thread is generally used for desktop shots 'round these parts. (In fact, that seems to be most of what's in there these days.)

Incidentally, your desktop made me laugh.
