Alas, the journalistic profession doesn't have the same integrity. On the whole, they seem to think that a grudging retraction posted 6 weeks late and in small print in the bottom right hand corner on page 37 is adequate. Or in the case of Maureen Dowd, not even that.
Typical lawyer POV. So blind and of short memory when it serves them. The current events at NYT & L.A. Times mean nothing? But, yeah, the legal and medical colleges are real
paragons of self policing in the public's best interests.
But of course we know in the case of lawyers, it's only 99% of them giving the others a bad name.
