Pretty scary stuff. It seems the original plot was an attack in both hemispheres, particularly over U.S. soil and East Asia. Bin Laden scaled down the attack because he didn't think such an operation was "practical" and instead wanted to focus on America.
I wonder if this is true, and if so what other information they'll cull from this guy.

I also here they were going to replace all the celebrities with exact look-alikes who would slowly but surely start advocating a return to Theocratic governance which would slowly indoctrinate Americans into True Followers of Allah over the course of the next 20 years.
I'm sorry but I saw this story this morning and was struck with the overwhelming stench of Bullshyt.
Possible explanations for it:
1. Khalid Shaikh Mohammed will say anything to scare Americans.
2. Khalid Shaikh Mohammed will say anything under torture.
3. Khalid Shaikh Mohammed is insane.
4. Certain members of government would be willing to tell Americans anything to make it seem like they are doing a better job.

Original Afganistan plan was to catch Bin Laden.
Original Iraq plan was to kill/capture Saddam.
Both were to slow terrorism... instead experts say were more at risk than before.
Plans don't go according to plans.
