Heloooo out there!!!
Just to rescue your thread...
Just finished. 10 minutes waiting in line to sign in (can they EVER speed that up?) and oh, about 20 seconds to punch the ballot.
I've never used anything but punch cards. I hope we go to touch screens soon. I wonder... will we be able to get cash back when we do?

Here's another one to Davis' ousting.
If you vote no on the recall, you're saying yes to:
- Increased taxes for the spending addictions of the liberals
- Tripled car registration (that affects all of us in here)
- Marital benefits for ghey couples
- Driver's licenses for illegal immigrants and increased insurance premiums as a result
- Free social benefits for illegal immigrants that you and I could not get
- Free college tuition for illegal immigrants, while those of us in school struggle to pay
- 40% increased college tuition
- No increased enrollment at Cal States
- Continued exodus of businesses (and jobs) out of California
- Unchecked control of liberals in Sacramento
If these seem like your cup of tea, vote no on the recall.
Vote ABC - anyone but Cruz.
Peace.

Did you have problems punching through the chads?

I am wondering what the ballots looked like. On the 2nd recall measure (the candidates listing), was the list a big mess?

It was unwieldy.
Candidates grouped by Alpha (A's together, B's together, etc.) but the groups were not in alphabetical order. And I hear that the order varied from county to county. Don't know if that's true or not.
You would think a name like Schwarzenegger would stand out in a group but it didn't. Nobody did.
But there were only for items to vote on - Recall, Guv candidate, and two initiatives.
