Funny you should mention that. I've occasionally wondered if some of the posts by prominent conservatives on this board weren't actually made by liberals in disguise, trying to discredit the conservative side. I mean, people can't really be this disdainful and blindly partisan, right? Right?

again, the complete content of your post is to simply harrangue. no substance, no cognitive process except to jeer others.
This is all you seem to be capable of: cheerleader, heckler.

Try actually contributing something other than that.

Anyway, all I have to say to this thread is

People are reading way too far into world politics. Countries hate the US for only one of these two reasons.

1.) They dislike having become irrelevant.
Prime example: France.

2.) They dislike US policy toward their county.
Prime example: Palestine.

Let's say the US says: we're going to fully give up our power of foreign policy to the UN. France would be thrilled.

Let's say that the a new president comes in to office and says, in earnest: **** the middle east, fuel cells have been perfected we're out of here, fixes the best s/he can the absolute disaster the Bush/Blair administrations made of the area, and then totally withdraws support for every nation. The middle east would be "thrilled" (the ones that stage the terrorist attacks should be anyway. Humanitarian aid is wasted on the needy.)

Okay.

No more needed from you.

If you really think France *hates* the US, you need to re-examine some of your other body parts, apart from the inside of your rectum.

They don't hate the US in a terrorism, flag-burning way but there is a great deal of resentment.

Unlike in America, where there is obviously no resentment of France.

France has rightly earned the resentment of Americans. Its policies of funnelling weapons to my old man (Saddam, that asshat) and slipping intel to them during the war endangered American lives. Whether you agreed with the war or not, supposed 'allies' shouldn't stab each other in the back like that.

Furthermore, in the months leading up to the war, the Dingleberry Duo of Schroder and Chirac manipulated their populace and whipped them into a foaming, rabid antiwar and antiAmerican pinko rabble.

um, I think you have the tail wagging the dog, there. As I understand it, the general population was against the war, and its leaders acted accordingly, not so much the other way around.
?As far as funneling weapons...where do you think Saddam got his biological weapons? France?
nope. good old US of A.
As well as many of his conventional weapons.
If you are going to use that criteria to lambast France, you're going to have aim those fingers of blame at the US as well, if not more so.

?as far as sharing intelligence...IIRC, France was telling Iraq if it didn't comply it would be invaded...the same thing Bush was saying. Was there some other shared intel I'm forgetting? (could be, I'm honestly asking)...that's the only item I recall. It was happening at the time of sabre rattling when Saddam thought Bush was rattling impotently and France was saying..er..no...its going to happen come hell or high water. If this is what you're referring to, in a backhanded way they were actually reinforcing the Bush administration's message. If this is NOT what you're referring to, could you please provide more detail?

I'm calling BS on this one. Some of his weapons were of US origin, but by far they were Soviet/Russian, with other systems and equipment culled from various other countries.

I wouldn't go that far, but I'll probably touch on it later--I've spent the last 4 hours sitting in this chair putting together my post anthology and I'm worn out. So it's time to switch to watching television and some chicken soup.
