How do the Canadians on this board feel about the proposed merger? I for one hope it dies a quick death. Harper is a religious nut job. I also find it pretty telling of Mackay's character that he is not honouring the agreement he made with Orchard during the tory leadership campaign. I think things will be bad enough with corporate bitch Paul Martin as PM. I cannot fathom how bad things would be Harper's crew took over.

Any thoughts?

To be quite honest, neither party has a lot of power right now and I think most Canadians, unless they're conservative, don't really give a damn.
