is interesting.
(CNN) -- Two top federal law enforcement officials in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, said Wednesday an FBI investigation involving Mayor John Street's administration has nothing to do with politics.
FBI Special Agent in Charge Jeffrey Lampinski and United States Attorney Patrick Meehan said the timing of the case is unrelated to Street's tight Philadelphia mayoral race to be held in two weeks.
although later in the story, the FBI accurately points out it didn't pick the timing of the discovery of the bugs, to say the investigation is not political makes me raise my eyebrows.
I'd have to think, even if its not partisan (which I doubt), it would HAVE to be political on some level to tap a mayor's office.
