The Dollar is now as cheap as never before. While this is nice for buying Apple stuff, it also has the disadvantage that I'm getting less and less every time I exchange Dollar into Euro.
And now I read here
http://www.spiegel.de/wirtschaft/0,1518,275948,00.html
that the Dollar is going to lose even 30% more!
Why is that?

I'm not an economist, but I wouldn't trust anyone who claims to be able to predict a 30% rise or fall in anything.
Besides, a lot of people seem to confuse the strength of a currency with their dick size. It's not usually good to have an overly strong currency. It's better for exports, and thus jobs and growth to have a lower currency value than a higher one. That's why, for example, China keeps the Yuan pegged low.

I don't trust any prediction either, but the Dollar lost 15% this year alone. And that is a difference I noticed. If it would lose 30% more that would suck.

If you're talking about me, I think you completely misunderstood my post.

No, no, not you. Just a general comment. I remember growing up in the UK in the 1970s that people would wail and gnash their teeth every time the Pound was devalued. They thought it was some kind of a symbol of decline. Actually, an overvalued currency is a really bad thing to have.
These currency rates today are floating. Interest rates are at near-historic lows here in the US. My uneducated guess is that is the reason for the Dollar's value. But I'd rather have that and 8.2% growth and falling unemployment to a high Dollar even if it does make parts on my Merc expensive.
