It seems the the great.. the powerful and influencial, the US, supervisor of nations, is neglecting a very significant part of the world.

Brazil, the worlds enemy has been cutting and burning the rainforest, killing millions of creatures every day, for years. Too many years. I think its time for the US to draw the line now and say no more killing with your weapons of mass destruction (matches and chainsaws) to brazil. And if Brazil, destroyer of the worlds number 1 supply of the worlds oxygen, doesn't conceed they shall be destroyed. The US should declare full out war on its people for the murder of millions of animals and trees alike that did nothing to deserve this. But since no one really cares about that lets just focus on how it effects MEEEEE, or I should say YOU. The world is being deprived of the oxegen cycle. You are being deprived. The US would be doing a much greater service to the world by declaring war on this country.

Now you can do your part by not buying anything made of mahogany, a victim of the rainforest....

As long as there's enough oxygen for all the SUVs I see no chance that the US is liberating the rain forest.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Cut it down. Find the cure for cancer in there. Also kill the aids **** while you are at it. Eventually the fountain of youth will be found there too. Just keep cutting it down. I need new furniture damn it!

I realise this is tongue in cheek, but hey, they're their forests. Why shouldn't they burn them down the same why the Americans or the Europeans did? They're only following the development model that the West set. They want SUV's too, you know. Why should it concern them that the planet can't sustain them using as much energy per person as Americans and Europeans do? It clearly doesn't concern Americans and Europeans only vaguely. I say if you want your clean(ish) air and want to keep driving your SUV, you've got to pay the Brazilians; see it as a form of clean air rental. But don't complain about them doing precisely what we did just so that they can have what we have. Otherwise it sounds like you want to keep leeching off their state of underdevelopment.

Agreed .. I'm all for preserving the rain forest for the world's sake but we can't treat their land like its our personal pharmaceutical/oxygen reserve. It'd be like treating countries in the middle east like they were our personal oil reserve. Oh wait ...

off! Wanker.
All I want for Christmas is a Swedish and/or an Aussie girl in my lap, a Guinness in my hand and a big smile on my face.
