this is particular to my situation...i've mentioned within other threads before, but wanted to separately explain, so that people don't wonder...

at home, i can post at will. At work, i can only post in short windows of maybe a minute or two. This isn't due to that i'm not allowed to..but because there is some technical glitch that will not allow me to post. its intermittent, unpredictable, and has a success rate of posting at about 3%.
So, when I can post, i post in a flurry.

Why mention it? Not because I'm whining, but because it causes an odd sort of thing...
It allows me to read, and forces me to triage what replies I think are worth squeezing into that window.

I don't want to say it makes me wiser, it doesn't. But it does make me weigh things a bit more.

oh well...this is another pointless thread, but it might spark some discussion, about the idea of thinking before posting, and all that.

I'm in the same boat, but not for technical reasons (unless you include being very overloaded with work a technical reason.)

I'm sure some people have noticed my volume of posts has been down the last 3 or 4 months.
