Saddam and Al Qaeda: Case Closed
i am pretty sure this is the same article.
also, "imminent oil" is not a concern of ours. maybe in 50 years, yes, but not now.

Not the same article. But basically saying the same thing. Agreeing if you will.
This should silence the "Saddam had nothing to do with Al Qeada" whiners for awhile.
Because it looks as if yes, indeed he DID.
The arm-chair politicians lose again.

The most conclusive evidence comes in a highly detailed list of intelligence reports revealed last month in the Weekly Standard.

The reports are from detained Iraqis and communications intercepts. According to the intelligence report, as revealed by the Weekly Standard, the letter states:
...
But the most detailed picture of the Baghdad-al Qaeda nexus comes in a letter, held as top secret, that was leaked to the Weekly Standard.
i disagree. was there any new info?

i doubt this will silence anyone. skimming through the previous thread, i don't think that anyone was denying that there weren't ties. meetings don't necessarily mean material support. though based on the reports in weapns, it seems that there was some training. but then again, the US has provided weapons training (and other forms of support) to groups that i wish we wouldn't. also, the most damning evidence is saddam allowing ansar al-islam to exist in northern iraq. wasn't that an area of iraq where saddam held little power anyway?

Different articles, But they are agreeing with each other on the same topic.

Nonesense. I don't know how many people have said in here that Iraq had NO TIES.
They even went as far as to say they were probably enemies.
This news is a slap in the face to those who claimed such.

seems they were not held accountable for training when the trainees committed a crime.
But I do think that's an apple and orange example, because the flight schools weren't intending to teach the students to fly into buildings, whereas the training camps in Afghanistan WERE intending to teach them to commit acts of terrorism.
A more appropriate comparison might be the School of the Americas...where allegedly our government actually trained other governments how to commit human rights abuses.

Oil is good. Pil is great for luberication. when you are waxing that ass you really want to eliminate firction. If we invaded Iraq for that then they have my full support. You see if everybody starts doing the funky chicken we all will die of some std or all be the same color. That means w all should speak the same language too unlewss we all died. Either way I still say we are going to blow ourselves up.
