more evidence is growing now, with the Kean report pointing to a huge failure by the Bushcon Admin.
I still find it funny how bushcon supporters, and the average Joe still thinks it was Al-Qaeeda without there being a SINGLE piece of evidence to support the bushcon Admin's stance. So in light of that, why do people think it funny to blame the US for what happened, and yet don't seem to blink an eye when we point the finger at some Arab terrorist group.

Here's snippet

Suspicious circumstances

Four of the named hijackers were not in the United States.

The WTC towers collapsed without adequate heat stress.

Smaller aircraft accompanied Flights 77 and 93.

Most of the alleged hijackers were rather poor pilots.

Evidence of the alleged hijackers developed too quickly.

Westward excursion of Flights UA93 and AA77 are inexplicable as terrorists hurrying to targets."

Anomalies

The US Air Force failed to intercept any of the flights.

The hijackers' names did not show up on passenger lists.

The hijackers' faces did not appear on boarding gate videos.

Black boxes were missing from all but one flight.

Contradictions
The Pentagon was not struck by a large passenger aircraft.

Cellphone calls alleged to have been made by passengers were essentially impossible.

Funny? FUNNY?

There's nothing humorous about the events of that day, and nothing humorous about blaming the victim.

Grotesque, disgusting, in poor taste, incendiary. inflammatory, boorish - never funny.

My favorite conspiracy theory is the one where the towers were destroyed by a high intensity laser, fired from space (of course), just seconds before 2 unmanned, military drone planes, piloted remotely from the oval office, laden with explosives and repainted to look like commercial jets, flew into them. The passengers on the real planes were kidnapped by the US army and held in a secret underground base in the middle of a desert.

It was all part of a massive plot between Israel, Cuba, 'teh neo-cons', the Mafia, Pop 'N' Fresh and.......hang on.....a black van just pulled up outside......I think......oh!.. HEY!!!....HELP!!!.....*CRASH*.....*BANG*..........

And you think the official version is credible? bollocks, show me any evidence to support the named hijackers? please do.

If any of you clowns actually read more than the first few passages, and did some research, maybe you'd see that the official version is less credible than any conspiracy theory.

What I find funny, and it is funny, how you people just put faith in what you've been led to believ via CNN/FOX news, and yet you don't even see the holes, the CURRENT investogation by the FBI which is fully documented just now, and how it has been thwarted; and yet you so gleefully believe it> mad

You stupid, stupid fool.

I'm not going to tootle my own horn, but I somehow doubt that your description really applies to eklipse all that well.

Truth is, all of those inane conspiracy theories you've posted above have been around for the better part of two years, and have been completely and utterly destroyed many dozens of times over.

And not by Fox and CNN, but by every credible news source on the planet. Nearly every "left-wing" news source I read regularly or irregularly has had large features on those 9/11 conspiracy nuts, and the partly very funny, partly disturbing people who propagate those myths in the face of facts - and there are plenty of facts.

Did you know that quite a few of those theories you quote were actually put forth and propagated by known Neo-Nazis?

One of the prime culprits goes by the pseudonym "Jan van Helsing".
Interesting character. Do a search sometime.

Look. you're a fan of 'whatreallyhappened' - which isn't what happened at all.

They're relying on Carl Cameron, who -despite being Fox's own darling- went off the deep end and fabricated some really nifty quotes that the FBI, Sharon, and DEA never said.

The Washington Post pretty much refuted Cameron's so-called 'exposé' over 16 months ago. http://camera.org/index.asp?x_contex...;x_article=147

the Washington Post has revealed that the Drug Enforcement Administration report that had been cited as proof of Israeli student spying is, in fact, no report at all. According to the Post, it is instead an unofficial draft by a disgruntled DEA official: “allegations ... of a massive U.S. probe of Israeli spies appear to have been circulated by a single employee of the Drug Enforcement Administration who is angry that his theories have not gained currency ... [and who] appears to be leaking a memo that he himself wrote.”

Affirming that “a wide array of U.S. officials yesterday dismissed reports that the U.S. government had broken up an Israeli espionage ring ...”, the Post quoted Justice Department official Susan Dryden, who characterized the allegations as “an urban myth that has been circulating for months...” and Immigration official Russell Bergeron, who characterized the arrests of young Israelis as “routine, normal cases ... I have no knowledge of any espionage-related issues with these people.”

Despite the definitive discrediting of these Israeli spying allegations, one can be certain that the bogus stories will continue to circulate on the internet and to be cited by anti-Israel propagandists.
And we already know you to be an anti-Israeli propagandist, so there's really no surprise here- you're relying on an urban myth put forth by a disgruntled DEA worker, fueled by Cameron, because it fits in with your Anti-Israeli-Neturei-Karta-(hypocritical) propaganda.

You've said something quite repulsive, you've put forth proofs that are no proof at all, and expect everyone to suddenly gasp and change to your point of view. Simply because you bought into propaganda does not mean everyone else must as well.

Perhaps the kindest response here is that of
"Bless your heart..."

version, healthy skepticism is one thing, actively looking for conspiracies where there are none is another. You're doing the latter, not just once, which would be excusable, but in every instance (Brits extended WWII, Saddam already captured, US/Israel behind 9/11, etc.). This shows not that you have a healthy skepticism, but that you're determined to reject the most likely explanation just because it's the official one! The JFK assassination has suffered from the same phenomenon - people dismiss the Warren Report when they've never even read it and even though it presents a vast amount of evidence supporting the official version. They say "Don't believe everything you read," then they turn around and believe every conspiracy theory they read. That's what you're doing.

Use a bit of common sense: how likely is it that hundreds, even thousands, of government bureaucrats, who normally despise each other and can't even run their own departments right, could get together and (a) plan it, (b) pull it off, and (c) keep it concealed? Not very likely. People love to talk about how incompetent the government is, but when a juicy conspiracy theory arises, the same bureaucrats are all James Bond!

There's money and notoriety in concocting conspiracy theories, and people eat it up. Take a few selected pieces of evidence out of context, speculate a bit, and you have yourself a plausible conspiracy theory. That's all this is.

There's been quite a bit of coverage, but this was very comprehensive:

Unfortunately, it's in German, and pay-per-download. I no longer have the print copy of the magazine around.

The article titles translated (half-babelfished):
___
p. 58: Panoptikum of the absurd
Were the attacks on New York and Washington the largest terror act of history - or an enormous komplott of the secret services? Conspiracy theoreticians land bestsellers with their alleged proofs; a fifth of Germans already believe their half-truths.

p. 64 A corridor for imbecility
How conspiracy theoretician reinterpret large events of world history

p. 74 Death in small packages
Counterfeiters and cranks use the internet to spread legends and lies.
That's just over twenty pages of coverage.

There were also a bunch of TV specials or short features in regular TV magazines, and other print specials, on conspiracy theorists around the second anniversary.

P.S.: And none of the powder for me, please - I'll stick to natural substances.

They only had to be good enough to fly the planes into some of the largest buildings in the world. That's not all that difficult; the biggest problem would be learning the controls.

Were not tired of this yet?

Four of the named hijackers were not in the United States.
That's questionable.

[b]The WTC towers collapsed without adequate heat stress.

Smaller aircraft accompanied Flights 77 and 93.
?

Most of the alleged hijackers were rather poor pilots.
1 hijacker on each plane had training in navigation, and basic flight operations. Enough to navigate the planes to their targets, and crash them. None had the ability to takeoff, or land.

What they did wasn't easy, but far from impossible. And if you look at the radar map's of the planes flight paths, you can see they screwed up more than once.

Evidence of the alleged hijackers developed too quickly.

of course the US had the names of the hijackers in minutes. All of them were suspected of commiting a terrorist act prior. They were all on the radar. It doesn't take long to match a planes flight list to a list of suspected terrorists. The US knew Al Queda was planning something, and they said since the first time, there would be a 2nd attempt at the WTC. Doesn't take a genious to narrow things down.

Hence the US was able to say within 1hr who the hijackers were.

The US Air Force failed to intercept any of the flights.

Simply put, budget cuts voted on by the American public caused the US to scrap much of it's ability to get planes up quickly. To few bases capable of launching within minutes, to far appart. This was investigated a few years prior both privately, and by the feds. Both came to the conclusion the US wasn't prepaired for any hijacking, or air disaster.

The hijackers' names did not show up on passenger lists.

True, they didn't show up on the passenger lists, out of respect for the families. They are also not counted among the dead. A little historical note is that there was a man from Pakistan on one of those planes who wasn't counted as dead for over 1 year, because there wasn't difinitive proof he didn't have terrorist ties. But there was none linking, so he wasn't a hijacker. He was later added according to the stories, sometime around the 1st anniversary.

The hijackers' faces did not appear on boarding gate videos.

Actually, they did. What was released shows them. SOme of the mug shots they used post-9/11 were from those video's, since when FBI was looking for info on what they did prior to 9/11, they posed the pics asking if you saw them recently.

Black boxes were missing from all but one flight.
The weight and heat from the WTC attacks, exceeded the operating conditions of the black boxes. This was known on 9/12 that they wouldn't be recovered unless they landed on top of it all.

The Pentagon was not struck by a large passenger aircraft.

Despite the security tape showing it.

Cellphone calls alleged to have been made by passengers were essentially impossible.

This has been debated forever now. Most of the cases were bogus. The calls weren't made. We know that. These were family members who lied during their grief.

Same with all the people who called from within the WTC reckage... didn't happen.

Though there were a passenger(s) with satellite phones (popular with international businessmen as they work everywhere), which in theory would work, since they don't connect to cells. Not to mention there are phones on most planes, either for every seat, row, or a booth in the back.

Yawn.... old stuff... nothing to see here, move along.
I always use protection when fscking my Mac... Do you?
