On Letterman last night. Video on the 'Late Nite' website here. It's the Big show Highlight. Sorry I couldn't post the specific url for the video.

Anyway, looks like he has a sense of humor at least.

Top Ten Ways I, Howard Dean, Can Turn Things Around

10. "Switch to decaf"

9. "Unveil new slogan: 'Vote for Dean and get one dollar off you next purchase at Blimpie'"

8. "Marry Rachel on final episode of 'Friends'"

7. "Don't change a thing -- it's going great"

6. "Show a little more skin"

5. "Go on 'American Idol' and give 'em a taste of these pipes"

4. "Start working out and speaking with Austrian accent"

3. "I can't give specifics yet, but it involves Ted Danson"

2. "Fire the staffer who suggested we do this lousy Top Ten list instead of actually campaigning"

1. "Oh, I don't know -- maybe fewer crazy, redfaced rants"

The way he opened his jacket, with that weird little smile, when he said "Show a little more skin" killed me. And I must say he did a better-than-average Arnie.
Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them.

Yeah, that's great, I can't think of anyone else I'd rather have running the country than someone who would go on a stupid talk show and act like a clown. It was appropriate though for him, because he does stupid human tricks.

Bush was on Letterman in 2000, you moron.

Wasn't that the one where they have that clip of him wiping his glasses on a staffers blouse (without her knowledge) during a commercial break? What weird thing to do.

Bush was BEGGED to do the show, so please check your sources prior to calling someone a moron.

It is quite different the way each came across on the show.

Who cares if he was begged? The point is he did it; your source only confirms my point. (Er, thanks, I guess.) Since Bush is not good at ex tempore speaking and doesn't prefer any venue more challenging than Larry King Live, it doesn't surprise me he had reservations. But, as I said, it's neither here nor there.

Both men sent themselves up ably and with good humor (Bush told Dave, referring to his renowned inarticulacy, that he'd "been known to mangle a syl-LAB-le or two").
