That it is beyond tragic and beyond hope. There is no hope for rational thought, modern development, or functional civilisation in Saudi Arabia as long as people like this represent even a strong minority in that country. The sooner the West uses up their oil or finds alternatives, then the sooner we can abandon that nation to all its backwards and hellbound ways. Letting it rot back into the sand from whence it came would be a gift to the world like no other.

I'm making a reasoned judgement about a society and group of people based on their culture, traditions, actions, and beliefs. You are free to draw your own conclusions. I've known plenty of Saudis, so I'm not including them or others like them. But the folks that participated in this--oh yeah, you bet I'm talking to you.
