Here's the CVR transcript of where the SO shut the fans and the FO tried desparately to save his plane and passengers.

That's different. It's suicide, probably because he was depressed. It's happened to more than a few flights.

But this AA pilot is straight out of a Kubrick movie.

I think it was really nice of the captain to raise such important questions in the air and I'd certainly have taken him up on his offer of post-flight discussion about Jesus.

I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

Trying to avoid staying on topic, are you. How quaint, and that just because the pilot in the original post was a Christian fanatic. If he had been a Muslim doing the same thing with Moslems and non-Moslems, I somehow doubt that you would have jumped on your high horse.

But BOT: There are days when I wonder what the Christian nut jobs in your country and the Moslem fanatics are fighting over, because I sure as hell can't tell the difference.

How many died?

Then he was no fanatic and YOU are bashing. Nothing I didn't expect.

Somehow you are wrong.

Like I posted in the other thread, the pilot's JOB is to take the passengers SAFELY from point A to point B.

If you read the other thread, I disagreed with the pilot's actions.

Couldn't you have just stuck to the duplicate thread you derailed in the lounge?

I think it's more a matter for the airline to deal with.

If I were the Airline's management, I'd be pissed. Employees should not do anything to upset or offend the customers. Especially when they pay so much.

I'd say the same if I were a manager of a fast food joint.

A business owner shouldn't have to deal with employees ruining their reputation.

This is a lot of bad PR. At the very least I'd hope the airline makes a spectical out of it and fires the pilot.

Don't need bad employees like that.

It's one bad person, who brands an company, or an industry.

Does he reflect the opinions of his coworkers or company? Of course not.

But as a company, I'd be pissed. That's going to cost some money to undo the bad image all this press is bringing.

This is why so many companies get bad raps as being "racist", "sexist", etc.

I finally met 3 girls who worked at Hooters for a summer. They enjoyed their job. But the stereotype of hooters is that they abuse their employees, and mistreat them. Is that the case? Only for a small minority. But that minority outshines (and Hooters management is horiffic in managing it's problems).

Bad karma ruins.

If I were CEO, i'd be signing the pink slip myself.
I always use protection when fscking my Mac... Do you?

Since when did scaring the passengers sh1tless go under the heading of SAFELY?

Only after people called you on it.

And I still think the Christian and Moslem fanatics should just get together and kill one another and themselves and leave the rest of us alone, because we don't really want or need either.

Nobody "called me on it". I NEVER agreed in the FIRST place.

Selective comprehension yet again.

So you advocate genocide too?

You seem to have a real problem with your memory. Some refreshers:

Demonhood: here was no bashing. you hijacked the thread before any discussion on the actual topic could be had.

You: This thread was just to Christian bash so I posted a FACTUAL report where a muslim pilot needlessly killed hundreds.

You again: You seem to have selective comprehension on the matter, zigzag.

Someone else again: By refering to the person as Christian and crazy in the same sentence, it was preceived as bashing.

etc and so forth
So not only did you forget that it was ZigZag that was supposed to have the selective comprehension (unless you have an unealthy mental obsession with that word) but you also neatly forgot that people did indeed call you on your little Muslim bash-a-thon.

Are you sure that you're mentally fit to be flying those planes, or would we have to fear some sort of religious outburst from your cockpit as well, or perhaps even worse?

(For the record: No, I don't really think you, at least I hope not, are some kind of nut, but I also agree that you attempted to highjack the thread because the word "Christianity" was used, even though it was quite relevant in this case as that is exactly what the pilot in question was saying.)

Muslim bash a thon? hahahahah.

You didn't read my posts either.

Don't try flying a plane with selective comprehension.

I clearly stated that the first officer tried to save his passengers and crew from the mentally distressed second in command.

Most everyone on board was muslim. They ALL needlessly died.
If you see that as bashing, you have serious problems along with your advocation of genocide.

I NEVER advocated what the AA pilot did, in fact I stated it was WRONG of him and beyond his responsibilities.

What part of that did you not comprehend?

Or do you just wnat to try to feel superior trying to be some sort of psudo intellectual?
