This is very very interesting for those who fear Admiral John Pointdexter and his recent interest in databases containing information on every American.

EPIC has obtained this August 2002 email message:
http://www.epic.org/privacy/profilin...arpaacxiom.pdf

"Ultimately, the U.S. may need huge databases of commercial transactions that cover the world or certain areas outside the U.S. This information provides economic utility, and thus provides reasons why foreign countries would be interested. Acxiom could build this mega-scale database."
This email discussion was happening at the same time (Dec. 2001 through Oct. 2003) that presidential wanna-be Wesley Clark was on Acxiom's board and was a highly-paid lobbyist for the company:
http://www.acxiom.com/default.aspx?I...untry_Code=USA

Now, without the Pointdexter element, Clark's relationship with Acxiom should be scrutinized as heavily as VP Cheney's with Halliburton has been.

With the Pointdexter element, consider how that changes your feelings on Clark as a candidate.
If this post is in the Lounge forum, it is likely to be my own opinion, and not representative of the position of MacNN.com.

Pointdexter is a criminal.

That makes a lot of difference in my mind.
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

I don't exactly trust Clark either, and think he would make an appalling poor president. He has no experience in politics and reminds me very much of the last SACEUR that held a high position in the US government - General Alexander Haig, the fruitcake that did the mini-coup thing after Reagan took a couple of bullets.

Being on Axciom's board doesn't exactly raise his respectability either, but given that Pointdexter was appointed by the US government to implement the TIA, it is also a reason to discredit the Bush administration by your reasoning.
weird wabbit
