What is wrong with going to war with another country? I think if we have good reason we should do so. Maybe we could find other people that hate us with a passion and just blow them up. It might make them hate us more, but that is life. Call me a war monger if you want... either that or tell me to stop playing civ 3!!!

Ah give the guy a break. I agree with him. War rocks! I don't even care who we go to war with or why, as long as I can watch it all on cable.

As if you actually did see it all on TV! In the US, you kids don't see a tenth of what goes on in any of the wars you're involved in.

There are some sites on the net where you can see some real video and you can always pick up a copy of Paris Match or one of the more gory journals that are prepared to print photographs of what actually happens when a rocket propelled grenade goes through a 7 year old's skull or how the heads come off guests when a predator drone comes to a wedding.

Some of you need to stop playing games and enlist.

Ah yes ... [looks dreamily into the ether]

Those were the days. We'd wake up before sunrise and head to the longships. Then there'd be two-three weeks of rape and pillage. Then back to the missus.

Few people tend to oppose wars that they see a good reason for. The question is, is there a good reason for the current war?

My feelings about Iraq is that there were good reasons to go in, but that the administration didn't go in for any of those reasons. I can't in good conscience support or oppose it, because both sides are oversimplifying the issue to a truly impressive degree.

No..I'm neither left nor right wing.

I support the liberation of Iraq.
but that does not mean I support Hallerburton.

I'm sorry but it really bothers me that Hallerburton has received no-bid contracts. I don't care what anyone says..to pay more than 2 bucks a gallon for gasoline driving over the world's largest oil reserve is b#llsh!t.

If it is so dangerous to deliver gasoline in Iraq, let the French bid on that contract an award it to them!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with going to war with another country if you have good reason. It's that whole "good reason" that's tricky. Having people hate you is not reason enough to blow them up; they must hate you enough to want to, be able to and be about to blow you up before you can justify blowing them up first.

Perhaps if you poke and prod sombody into hating you enough to want to, be able to and be about to blow you up, you can go and blow somebody up.

Good luck with that ... electing GWB for another term should just about do it.

Yea. And the US didn't arm Iraq, and Al Queda well after the world told us they were dangerous, and were killing civilians.

All countries will do this for money. All have, and you can bet all continue to this day.

It's easy to keep it quiet until years later, when it always comes out.

No problemo, I plan on voting on him anyways!

Wars have been fought throughout the centuries on many things. Gaining wealth and destroying your enemies come to mind. Maybe the US should invade Mexico and Canada next?

Mexico and Canda have nothing the US needs...

I'd rather invade France, and replace the Arc de Triumph with a monumental McDonalds Golden arches.... the Eiffel tower with an oil well....and the Mona Lisa with a picture of Saddam in full beard.

then pull out and let the UN go in and stand in line and order freedom fries.

Canada has the world's third largest oil deposits and a great deal of fresh water (something which the US is beginning to run low on). I don't doubt that we're on the 'liberation' list.

Canada has a very stable functioning democratic government, and last time I checked was not murdering people opposed to the government... so I wouldn't worry too much.

Yeah, but
1. You were not a member of the coalition of the willing,
2. you have gay marriages, and
3. you speak French.

Sorry, but you gotta go. Don't worry , we'll have a new Constitution written up for you in no time.
