An editorial from the Houston Chronicle.

"This is a White House that creates its own reality, that will insist till the end of days that white is black and right is left and smear you blind if you disagree.

Meanwhile, we pour treasure and blood into Iraq for reasons that seem more insubstantial every day. And when you ask the White House about it, it wraps itself in the flag and repeats the party line in a louder voice."

I know, it's an editorial, and this forum is all about facts, but it sure sums up the way I feel about this administration...

I'm from Texas, near Houston even, and I think this guy is an idiot. I guess I'm chiming-in because your thread title seems to have been phrased as if to say, "See, even Texans don't like Bush and he used to be their Gov."

I can assure you that the vast majority of Texans do support Bush.

I'm sure they do. It's nice to see not all do, though. And hopefully more will change their mind if they read editorials like this. I don't know if this guy is an idiot or not based on previous articles, but this one cuts to the quick and makes its point well.

The Houston Chronicle is, without question, a sorry rag. To find out that they and Knight-Ridder: 1) have an agenda, and 2) are Anti-Bush isn't a surprise.
He can be fixed -- you can't.

As good a reason as any not to vote for him
