"The PM is said to have responded that they deserved worse than death, that each was responsible for killing more than 50 Iraqis each, and at that point, he is said to have pulled a gun and proceeded to aim at and shoot all seven.

Six of them died, the seventh, according to one witness, was wounded in the chest, according to the other witness, was wounded in the neck and presumed to be dead."

I am sort of bothered by this. The Kill All Terrorists part of me snnickers at the irony...the 'Pro-Democracy' side of me puts his head down in shame.

I don't see how anybody can really complain about this. This is what most of the world wants. The USA out of Iraq. Full, self-rule back to the Iraqis. They are obviously capable of making their own decisions.

Yeah, but they will find a way to blame the US one way or the other.

I'll agree with that. That is a given.

tens of thousands dead
billions of US taxpayers gone
US standing in the world lowest ever

All so we could setup a strongman dictator who executes anyone who threatends the status quo.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

The journalist that offers this story is pretty much an anti-American terrorist appeasnik.

I challenge you to find any article he's written that proves otherwise. I looked at every one from the last few years.

Seriously. The guy is *that* obvious about it.

Also, it should be noted that the Iraqi PM flatly denies the allegations of the 2 "anonymous witnesses".

This story is pure BS.

If it is true, which I hope it isn't, this is very bad. You would think that with all the time and money we've spent trying to transfer power, we would pick a leader who would lead a real democracy, complete with trials, etc.

That sounds an awful lot like Saddam's resume. Why didn't they encourage the Iraqis to vet this guy more? Or did they?

Remeber why America went to war - the oil. They now have someone in power who will give it to them.

I doubt the Iraq's had any say in it - very democratic.

I wonder how much oil we could have bought with the billions of dollars the war has cost. Would not that have been a far easier and more convenient option ?

When it comes to conspiracy theorists, I suppose not.

Who would you have bought it off?

You may want to remember America's foreign policy towards Iraq, and its leaders.

See what happens when you back yourself into a corner, allowing no room to move?

And why should they have?

Is this not the same as when Saddam was in power?

Next we'll see Iraq's army trained by the US private mercenaries corporations like in Saudi Arabia, but just enough to ensure crowd control...

Thw whole thing reeks dishonesty from Day one.
