The bad news: they don't really appear to contain any new information to settle the matter one way or the other.

The worse news: surfacing after a period of "being missing" and "presumed destroyed" will give fodder for the conspiracy theorists to cry, "They was f0rgered!"

Ollie North was trying to shred them, but Sandy Berger saved them by stuffing them in his pants. They then mysteriously appeared on Hillary Clinton's dining room table. She turned them over to the National Guard. Dubya got tired of it all and went back to drinking.
