OK Folks, watch the news commentators during the Democratic Convention, and record them. later we will record the SAME folks doing the Republican Convention, and see the bias. take note of the facial expressions too... lets not judge yet, lets just get the data first...

And while we're at it we could also check the media bias and compare their reporting on Muslims and Jews. Would probably be very interesting to see.

For the best in bias and unintentional self-parody, may I recommend the FAUX News Channel .

(And don't miss their Blonde Auxilary Division.)

USA Today hired Ann Coulter to cover the DNC and Michael Moore to cover the RNC. It will be interesting to see if USA Today rejects Moore's columns as they did Coulter's piece.

The Ann Coulter Column Too Hot for USA Today

Ann Coulter, the witty, vivacious HUMAN EVENTS columnist and best-selling author, was hired by USA Today to offer commentary about this week’s Democratic National Convention, but her first column was summarily rejected late last night.

“Apparently," said Coulter, "USA Today doesn’t like my ‘tone,’ humor, sarcasm, etc. etc., which raises the intriguing question of why they hired me to write for them in the first place. Perhaps they thought they were getting Catherine Coulter.”

I'd be more interested in the comentary as it happens instead of 20-20 hindsight of opinion pieces by any columnist. Lets just compare Rather to Rather, Brokaw to Brokaw, and even Chris Jansing to herself. It shouldn't be comparing apples to oranges.

I'm with you. In this case, I'm comparing USA Today's editor with USA Today's editor.

I was listening to NPR on the way home from work. The whole network is giddy as schoolgirls.

I'm guessing NPR will suffer technical difficulties during the Republican Convention.

God, even the extreme right wants to distance itself from Ann Coulter. They think she's a deranged psychopath.

I've been switching between the networks during the rebroadcast of the convention and Fox News is unabashedly knocking Kerry every chance they get. The ticker at the bottom is doing nothing but scroll about Bush and Cheney. You can't deny that network makes a true effort at bias and fools the ignorant among us.

If FOX is the only outlet with a different viewpoint than the others - you almost have to admit there's a liberal bias in the media.

Fox is the only one claiming "Fair and Balanced" but then has Sean Hannity covering the DNC. It's not that they have a different viewpoint from everyone else. It's the Democratic National Convention...a channel like Fox is bound to disagree. I'm just surprised at how brazen they are about it. I can't wait to see their coverage of the RNC. I bet we'll see CNN's coverage about the same...showing the speeches, a few analysts and Mo Rocca making us laugh. Meanwhile, Fox will have every pundit in town verbally kissing Bush's arse.

I have hunch most MBA's lean towards the right. So does the media make people liberals, or do liberals go into the media? Just like the liberals and education. I have a sneaky feeling most teachers are liberals. Why, becuase helping the general population is more rewarding to liberals then profits. You can have Fox. I don't give a ****. Just don't bitch about being outnumbered since you can start up all the stations you want. And I thought us liberals whined.

News flash people. Fox news wisened up and realized most of America is NOT liberal. They currently have the highest ratings of all cable news networks, catering to the middle-right. Anyone who says fox news isn't biased is kidding themselves. But guess what, that's what their audience wants so why should they be any different?

Personally, all the news networks annoy the hell outta me. Seeing the CNN talking heads get so giddy at the DNC made me wanna puke. And listining to the same old trio of news coverage on fox, Bush, war, and terrorism, makes me dizzy.

I long for the day when America wakes up and realizes that our gov't is nothing more than a puppet for big business.

This election year has been so funny. Dems and Reps bickering back and forth, commiting the same evils, making the same promises, and accusing each other of the same things. I have come to the conclusion that both parties are simply gathering houses for control freaks. Why else would simply mentioning the wrong candidate in the wrong crowd incite so much anger?

than. not 'then'

When did the blatant and widespread misuse of the word 'then' start?

I'm about *this* close to correcting everybody in every post where I see it misused.

This has to stop. It just looks so dumb.

If you aren't going to put any thought into what you're writing - I'm not going to waste my time reading it.
