Because of all the blanket statements people make here I thought we should all play a game. Basically a game where we can't make any statements about other members, only ask them.
You ask the one above you about something regarding his opinion on a subject(up to 3 questions should do for every post), then he answers and asks you and the one above him up to three questions.
Anyone up for playing the game?

I've got a better idea: Yes or no questions only.
Example:
Tater Salad:
Do you support issue X, Y, & Z.
Logic:
X: Yes
Y: No.
Z: No.
No beating around the bush or question dodging, just yes or no. It seems more interesting than : Yes, but blah blah blah blah generality blah blah however blah blah blah.
If only Bush and Kerry would do that.
[Edit]: And if that system was chosen, then it can't be broad. Middle East terror is too big. Muslim terrorists is much more narrow. Education is too big. Vouchers isn't.

How does it feel to be a lowlife terrorist scum who wants to kill my unborn children and wrap towels around your head?
Are you gay?
Are you upset that Jello Pudding Pops were discontinued in the late eighties?

Agree with the yes or no(as much as possible), but think we should keep the topic as broad as we want.

1. Don't really know what it is so I can't answer.
2. Yes, but the percentage mostly depends on what system is in place.
3. If it is proven to work then yes.
a) Do you support the expansion of the EU?
b) Do you support the French-German proposal of an independent EU military?
c) Do you think that the US should keep troops where they are wanted and withdraw from where they are not wanted(US bases and not occupied countries etc)?

1. Yes, provided it's extended to all private educational institutions, not just certain ones as decided by ______.
2. Can't really answer honestly, not enough info (state/fed?, ease into it, medicare situation, etc.) Lots involved. I'm both ways depending on other things.
3. Provided diplomatic methods are being used to their full extent (opposite of right now), yes, it's a worthwhile venture if for nothing else than to learn from the science developed. But to use it as an alternative to diplomacy like proposed... no.
I question if some of these can be answered, since most questions are rather complex:
"are drugs bad"?
Depends who you ask. A lukemia patient may say no. Someone who died from a heroine addict who went on a rampage with a gun may say yes.
I think more context would make this game a little more worthwhile.

I think we should ask the questions directly to an individual.
So Logic:
1. Is there anything short of 100% appeasement that will resolve (or satisfy your opinoin) the Palestinian/ Israel Conflict?
2. Do you think Israel has the right to protect herself from terrorists (freedom fighters if you choose to think that way).
3. Do you hate the US. (I want a reason with this one)

Okay Logic, it's only yes or no. I won't ask for any of your explanations. This thread is to see where people stand.
Let me do some tax q's.
Do you believe government programs should be cut?
Do you think the military, national defense, should be cut?
Do you think its unfair for the top 50% to pay 96% of taxes?
BTW, that damn banner is pissing me off. it slows down my typing big time.

1. Yes, the problem is that we will probably disagree on what 100% appeasement means.
2. Yes of course.
3. Absolutely not. Do I disagree with many of it's policies. Absolutely.

I will answer as it in general terms. You'd need to be more specific to get an accurate account.
1. Yes.
2. No.
3. Depends on how much of the total income they have. Flat tax percentage is the way to go.
a) What government programs do you want cut(if any)?
b) What government programs do you want increased(if any)?
c) Would you prefer a multi-cultural society or a single-culture?

Damnit people, this is YES OR NO. Or it will turn into every other thread.
I've got another idea. Why don't we state our political standings:
From left to right
Nazi/National Socialist (Hitler)
Communist (Mao)
Socialist (Schroder)
Liberal (Howard Dean)
Liberal-Democrat (partisan) (Kerry)
Democrat (Lieberman)
Conservative Democrat (ala Zel Miller)
Moderate (McCain)
Liberal Republican (ala Pataki)
Republican
Conservative-Republican (Pat Toomy)
Conservative (Mike Savage)
If there is a party by your name, that means you're a party person. Sean Hannity is an example of a conservative-Republican, while Glenn Beck or Michael Savage are Conservative, which means no party affiliation. You could also say independent-conservative.
Is that a good idea?

We need more than a yes or no. Just as long as it is short.
And that won't work because all those terms mean different things in different countries.
Rather ask for specifics.

Because on some issues I would be considered very to the left while on other very to the right. That means that not one single classification would do for me.
And learn to use the quote thingy so people know who you are replying to

Overall, then you would be more in the middle I guess. I am very conservative, so I'd fall on conservative, even though I'm not 100% conservative. So guess where you'd be (like adding positive and negative together).
What about religion? Is that relative?

Yes. But your life changes that. Bums aren't equal to hardworking patriotic people.
No. Common Defense is provided by the Government, as said in the Constitution.
No. The references were to part of our history, not to current demographics.
All:
Do you believe Babykitten is an anti-semite.
Do you think mac users are alot more to the left than normal.
Do you think illegal immigrants should be deported.
Is angaq French? It sounds like a French sig, and Over There was a song about America bailing out France in WWI. I think it was written by George Cohan.

5. If 90% of the people in a country were atheists do you believe that the laws should reflect that or continue to represent the historical ties?
That's waay to broad of a subject.
Keep historical ties. Its history, and you can't rewrite it, no matter what your public school teacher says. OR college professor.
I was tossing around an idea. Do you think there should be a weekly topic on this forum other than news? I was thinking that every Sunday I would start a thread on a specific issue, even if it wasn't in the news. Example: Gays in scouts. Tax cuts. State of Europe, etc.
Would that be a good idea?
I keep getting this page that says there are too many connections. Anyone else getting that?

I'd like to ask Logic if he supports the killing of 70 Iraqis today, and if not, why the change?

I think it's ok if it gets broad as long as we can keep the answers as short as possible.
And yes, that would be a good idea.
and yes, I keep getting that error as well.

Like I said before, I think both sides should try to minimise civilian casualties. But the target was legitimate and the civilian casualties are the result of the insurgency not having precision guided weapons and unfortunately that means they will often take civilians with them. But the traitors in the Iraqi security forces should not station themselves in civilian areas and civilians have been warned to stay away from the traitors position.

It's happened before. It was wc3campaigns.com, when I used to do WC3 mods. The mods were bastards, and one even called himself a communist. Most of the forumers were foreign, and as a result, most were red as blood. I wasn't very popular, and they banned me. The aussie banned me. Of course, I still stayed on, making new accounts till they banned me. They didn't know how to ban IP addresses.
I'm not sure how you can say that was legit. 60 people won't see they're friends and family because some evil foreign terrorist decided to blow someone up. And how are those Iraqis traitors? Who are you talking about? The terrorists?

That certainly qualifies. Zionist is a negative term for the Jews. And if the coma is killing terrorists, it's a good coma.
I'm sorry if that offends your counter-culture worldview, but that statement completely ignore the whole suicide bombers blowing up buses and murdering people in restaurants part. Oh well.
And if you're not an anti-semite, then you're at least an apologist for the terrorists.

The relatives of around 10-15000 people won't see their relatives because of a foreign force invading their country. And you don't know if these were foreigners. They are traitors because they are working with/for the foreign occupying force. Quislings would be a word used for them in Scandinavia.
