I would like to know who is actually going to vote in Nov. I dont want to know who you are going to vote for, just if you are. If you are too young to vote, I dont want your opinion either because in reality, it doesnt matter... Oh and if you are not in the US, same deal.

Why not make a poll?

Anyways, I'll probably vote.

Me. I have not missed a single voting opportunity since I turned 18 in 1972 (the first year that 18 year-olds could vote).

I'll definitely vote, even though I live in a state (Montana) that isn't even close in the presidential race. We do have a good chance of getting a Democratic governor though.

And let me use this opportunity ( ) to make a plug for electoral reform: I'd like to see, at the least, states enact proportional electoral voting, so then people in slam-dunk states like New York or Texas would at least feel that they can contribute some electoral votes to the presidential candidate of their choice. As it is right now, if you're in PA or FL or a couple of other states, you're a God, and if you're in a slam-dunk state, you're a big nothing. I bet making electoral votes proportional to the popular vote would improve voting in some states.

I'll be voting - assuming what happened to me in 2000 doesn't happen again. (Long story, suffice it to say that, even though I had followed all the rules, registered to vote, etc., they managed to "lose" my records. I was truly disenfranchised!)

Also being from Montana, this should be a fairly big blowout in the Presidential race. The Democrats hopes are all on the Governor race, as they have put up a rather weak candidate to run against Representative Rehberg and this is an off year for the Senate seats.

The biggest races in our state are:

President
Governor
House of Reps

Everything else is statewide offices. These are the ones who motivate people to vote. To me, this will make it very difficult for the Democrats to even win the Governor's chair, even though the current Republican Gov is probably the dumbest person in politics.

The President should have some coattails here. This is a conservative state. The Governor's race features an interesting contest. The Democrat ran for Senate against Senator Burns and lost, and started running for Governor almost immediately afterwards. He's been running for almost 3 years. He's made some gigantic mistakes, like naming a weak Republican as his running mate. (I've known his running mate for years, he's a very nice man, but would not make a good Governor. He was my father's seat mate in the Legislature.)

Meanwhile, the Republican candidate is a former teacher (but somehow the MEA managed not to endorse him, a member of their own union!) Neither of these candidates are very strong speakers, but both look like geniuses put next to our current Governor!

Without revealing who, I will obviously be voting, and I'm also glad that many of the losers I see on internet forums who are anti-USA and foreigners will not be able to vote in our election.

I haven't so much as missed a school board or hospital bond election in at least ten years. I always vote, even when it's just a precinct three J.O.P. runnoff election.

Voting here! Doing it absentee so I can avoid the machines. It's a shame that there are such trolling arses on Internet fora that are allowed to vote, but that's democracy, and it's a beautiful thing.

I can't imagine that all of the people here who get so overheated wouldn't be voting. Why else would you be posting in a politcal lounge? You must care at some level.

I'll be there bright and early, usually one of the first at the gates. Then I spend the rest of the day in a rented bus shuttling people to and from the polls. Free cokes and hotdogs for all!

I will vote, even knowing full well that AK will be giving 3 electoral votes to GW. Since that's the case, I'll probably vote for a third party candidate.

There is a chance that we may get a Democrat in the Senate for the first time in many, many years.

I'll vote and I always encourage those around me, and those I work with, to vote, no matter their political leanings. Everyone should participate and keep our democracy healthy.

I have voted in every election since 1994 and am planning to vote in November.

Usually I vote absentee, because I'm not always sure I can make it home from work/school by the time the polling stations close. The other advantage of absentee voting is that I can get my whole family to request ballots and have them sit down and vote. They wouldn't bother voting regularly if the ballots didn't come in the mail.

You sound disturbed. What's wrong with the voting machines? They work fine. Always have.
