Until U.S. officials leaked the arrest of Muhammad Naeem Noor Khan to reporters, Pakistan had been using him in a sting operation to track down al Qaeda operatives around the world, the sources said.

Add this to the list of brilliant things that our government has done.

When I made this statement, I had something like this in mind as well. Sure, increase the security in the areas, explain that we have some specific information....but don't tell EVERYONE what we've got. Any beat cop could tell you that.

I don't like the vague warnings that "something is going to happen sometime," but I'm willing to give Ridge credit for having more info than we do. If he says they got something specific, I'll live with that. I don't need to know what it is, though.

I don't know where the line between too much and not enough info really is, but I think we blundered on this one.
