I picked up Unfit for Command yesterday, and I read it on the way to the coal fields.
The book starts out at a reunion party. Kerry and the accompanying film crew march in when his name is called out, gets some shots of him on the boat, which was brought back to condition, and leaves. He didn't go to the ceremony.

The book goes through his attitude at the time, the 3 purple hearts, 2 killed civies, and a partridge–er-silver star. Needless to say, liar in politics, liar in war. Two incidents stand out so far. In January, 1969, Kerry, OinC, used .50 caliber machine huns as "warning shots." 1100 RPM warning shot. Strike 1.

Kerry lied third purple heart and bronze star. 1, the mine didn't explode under him. It was under PCF 3, not PCF 4, his ship. 2. Chenoweth received no medal for saving many people. 3. John Kerry's wound included a bruise on the arm and a minor wound on his ass when he threw a grenada into a rice cache. No wound. No heroism. Pulling Rassmann, the man in the water, out was a decent thing, but not heroism. Strike 2.

Kerry is displayed at the War Remnants Museum. He is there along with pictures of Jan Fonda (the bitch), a quote from a Communist Party member thanking the protesters, and the David Miller picture. Not only is that a red flag, but when he appeared before the Senate, he had a speech writer write his lies. Kerry cannot point to a single incident of war crimes in his 4 months over there. Besides being a liar and a socialist, his words were also used on POWs. Paul Galanti was shot down and held by the commies for 7 years. They cited anti war speeches as "and example of why we should cross over to [their] side." Strike 3.

I'm still not through the entire book. I'll get back to you on the rest later.
It's a good read.

On a side not, while me and my dad were on the road to a Scranton coal mine, we had a problem with a truck. I was reading the book, listening to Judas Priest, and he looks back, I see it, I look back too, and I see a truck with a blowout. On the front ****ing tire. How do you do that? You're supposed to check and see if you get a good sound before! Anyway, we speed up and the truck has the air coming out fast while he was moving toward the apron. We could have been hit, but we sped up. Not surprisingly, it was a trash truck, the lowest form of truckers.

Glad you survived, with that Creeping Death motto tattooed on that faulty front tire!

I would agree that garbage truckers would probably not be fit for driving tanks either, especially for "surgical" wars.

But aren't we glad we have those guys pick up the trash and take care of it? Driving it far and far away from our noses and eyes, so our neighbourhoods stay green and clean with pink flamencos and little dwarves shiny from the morning rain?

Their additude is "my job is to look through the windshield." They do not care. IN NY a couple years ago, I believe a trash truck rammed into a small van of kids, some died, and just drove off. His brakes were ****ed up. That's kinda like something you know for a long time. I just thing they're nothing compared to the men who keep the business going.

Hmm. There's something really interesting in the final chapters.
Nutshell: Kerry attended meeting where there where plans were discussed to kill the prominent senators who supported the war. That's interesting.

I think he's a liar, but not the antichrist. He's a fraud.
Bu he's not even close to being as slimey as Clinton.

I would, but all the booksellers near me have subversive books...they're all run by a bunch of goddamned communists, every last one. How could I buy this wonderful book without supporting the commie bastards at Barnes and Noble or Amazon?

Conclusions:

A. Spend less of your teenage years reading political tripe masqueraded as truth.

B. Drop out of creative writing class.

C. Kill your parents.

MindFad: Go read it. These are people who served in Vietnam, most of which have met Kerry.
And what do you read? The fat piece of trash's garbage on paper? I'd believe these men over a fat slob any day. Aren't you like 22? It looks your days of being young and/or open to the hype are over. I didn't believe half their **** before I read it. I thought they were liars, but hoped it'd impact Kerry. Looks like I was wrong.
