Iran, that wonderful, islamic controlled, terrorist sponsoring thuggish place in the mideast shows that they have zero respect for the Olympics, and they choose to insert politics into something which is supposed to be a sporting competition.
The IOC, if they have any balls will ban the country from further particpation in the 2004 Olympics, since they bring hatred, venom and non-sportmanship like behavior with them to the Olympics.
Iran does not have the Olympic spirit, they are violating the rules and they should therefore get the boot.
The comments by government spokesman Abdollah Ramazanzadeh set Tehran on collision course with Olympic officials who could punish Iran for letting politics intrude on its sporting ideals.

Ding ding ding!
What that little "champion" did was disgraceful. I thought we were supposed to come together for the game. Not be a jackass anti-Semite.

Let's see, the athlete from Iran showed up 66kg overweight, too heavy to compete, and his government calls his absence from the competition a voluntary boycott, to show solidarity.
(sarcasm)Got it. Because when your athlete can't participate in the sport, why be sporting? (/sarcasm)

The IOC allowed Australia to be the [i]venue[/i[ of the Olympic games, despite it's atrocious human rights record with regard to it's Aborigine population.
So don't hold your breath.
