German doctors grow a new jaw bone for a cancer victim. The excerpts ( emphasis added):
German doctors have given a man the ability to have his first solid meal in nine years, by growing him a new jaw bone on his back.

Doctors were able to reconstruct the man's face by growing a new jaw bone for transplantation on the man's back. For the bone graft, doctors constructed a titanium mesh cage and filled it with bone mineral, morphogenetic protein and stem cells from the patient's bone marrow.
Seven weeks later, doctors transplanted the perfect fitting bone graft to replace the patient's missing lower jaw bone.
After four weeks, the patient was able to enjoy a solid meal of bread and sausages, for the first time in nine years.
