Yup, it's like a Jerry Springer episode. A car wreck.

It's always fun making fun of people making idiots out of themselves.

It's great to see clearly how many Americans disagree with Bush's incredibly stupid policies.

Really boosts that self-esteem, right Zimph? I mean, how can it get any worse, when people actually think they have a right to speak their mind?
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

Lots do, lots don't. Street protests don't really measure public opinion.

No, but it gives those who keep claiming that opposition to Bush is just America-hating terrorist-sympathizing furriners a good run for their money.

Has anyone ever claimed any such thing? I know you don't live here, but those of us who do are well aware that lots of Americans dislike Bush. We just don't care that "America-hating-terrorist-sympathizing furriners" agree with them.

I always wonder who these protestors are? Are they locals? Did they travel thousands of miles? Do they have jobs?!

I fathom they're the same nutters who stand in line for 48 hours for an Apple Store grand opening or a Star Wars world premier....ie people with no lives. Either that or college students.

God bless their little bleedin' hearts. And God bless America!

Check it out. Looks like Moore has gained another 100lbs. since we last saw him. I doubt he made it that far in the protest before he had to stop for a cheeseburger. Also what's up with the dwarf? Kinda' reminds me of this dynamic duo:

Cheggat'out. The dwarf appears to be even wearing a tin foil hat. HA! That's funny.

I don't support Bush either, but I would NEVER participate in a protest led by Mike Moore and Jesse Jackson.

Is this what our country has come to?

No kidding. There's probably another good 75 lbs. being cropped out in the above picture. He also tries to do the "I'm embarrased to be so fat" thing by wearing a black T-Shirt.

Now I wouldn't normally pick on over weight people like this. I'm compassionate to a degree. However with Michael Moore I make an exception.

OK, peanut gallery, how about some comments regarding the 249,998+ other disgruntled marchers?

From the Times:
In the largest demonstration ever at a political convention, people swarmed through the midtown area of Manhattan in a march organized by United for Peace and Justice, passing by Madison Square Garden, where this week's Republican National Convention starts on Monday. At the height of the march, it took more than an hour to move one block.

Eh, the Moore fat jokes are kinda lame if you ask me. For all we know he could have a a genetic issue. His weight has nothing to do with his message, and trying to discredit his message by making fat jokes is something a 6th grader would do.

Plus, it sets the stage for a dramatic weight loss publicity stunt. The sooner he goes away the better if you ask me.

When you can't add anything substantial to the discussion, it's always a great time to bring out the fat jokes.

You mean the majority of the nation and majority of New Yorkers didn't participate?

LOL

It was NOT a Jackson/Moore protest. Can't you read?

The march was sponsored by United for Peace and Justice, a group opposed to the U.S.-led war in Iraq. Organizers had predicted as many as 250,000 demonstrators would take part.
And as you know, what brings one to power is not the number of abstentionists...

If it had been a Moore/Jackson protest, they would have been alone on the street to manifest.

No, it was the manifestation of 200 000 people.

Were they all asking for Kerry?

Was that the topic of this manifestation?

It's funny that all they can do is protest something without actually presenting something better in return.

What's that, about 1 in 100 people for the greater NYC area? What a sad little protest.

That is actually a very good proportion.

By the way, how many republican supporters showed up on the streets so far?

Actually, what's sad is people have to protest to get heard. As for "little", it's actually the largest protest at a political convention ever. Got it, Capt'n?

And do you really think it will matter next week?

It is little. 1 out of 100 people. That means 99 out of 100 in the metro NYC area don't give a ****.

Republicans make themselves heard at the ballot box.

Ok I'll try this again:
"Civil rights leader Jesse Jackson, along with Moore, led the protest march as it began on Seventh Avenue."

Please take note of the keyword, "led."

Yeah, but they were 2 over 200 000.

And not only that, but Id be willing to say that over 1/3 of the people there would also be protesting if it were "President Kerry" in office.
