Think they will actually name him during the convention? I mean the man RESPONSIBLE for the deaths of 3,000 Americans is STILL at large.
BUSH WANTS OSAMA DEAD OR ALIVE... "I want justice. And there's an old poster out West, I recall, that says, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive.'" [President Bush, on Osama Bin Laden, 09/17/01]
...BUSH DOESN'T CARE ABOUT OSAMA "I don't know where he is.You know, I just don't spend that much time on him... I truly am not that concerned about him."[President Bush, Press Conference, 3/13/02]

Expect lots of "our enemies" phrases instead. "Our enemies" in Iraq. "Our enemies" who caused September 11th.

Except Bin Laden is DIRECTLY responsible, and our enemy by name. And since he's still at large, he is still planning more attacks. What's Bush doing about THAT?

At least they will mention it unlike the Dems who didn't seem like they wanted to touch anything to do with terrorism with a 50 foot pole.

I'm curious - on one hand, Bush's opponents point to Bin Laden not being captured or killed yet as a sign of his failure. However, what would you say if he was caught between now and the election?
"They've had him the whole time, they were just waiting for the most politically advantageous time to release the information to the press!!"
I would love to capture him. I would love if he ran out of grape jelly in his cell with Thunder Dick. But I would also say that the fact that he hasn't been able to attack us on our soil (Knock on wood) is a sign of success, not failure.

Personally, I would be glad if he were caught. That would be real closure for the families, as opposed to what's going on in Iraq.

I thought the RNC-approved phrase was "evildoers."

The most common one you'll hear in all GOP speechs from now until Nov. is "9/11." Almost 3 years ago and he keeps jabbing at us with it.

I'm guessing we'll hear his name once, maybe twice, and neither of those will be connected to any actual efforts at catching him. Those efforts seem to be rather hush-hush at the moment. That's a double-edged sword: it may make certain operations more effective, but the American people dislike secrets, and there are negative consequences to keeping them.

Just this morning it was reported that Bush said we probably can not win the "War on Terror". This may be an indication of how he intends to treat the subject of Osama in his speech.

While that is true that American people mostly dislike secrets. I would rather have the operations that are going on in Afghanistan secret than what is going on in Iraq. The Enemy knows everything we are doing and they are given a vehicle to try and frighten and threaten us. We need to get the Press out of Iraq and let the military do it's job, like they are doing in Afghanistan.

You will not hear Bin Laden's name from the podium during prime time, I don't think.

I'm hoping he does his famous WMD bit, and maybe looks under the podium and goes, "nope, no WMD under there!" To the Lawls of the crowd, of course.
I'm guessing you'll not hear much if anything of Osama. I bet there will be lots of talk about "securing America," "our enemies," and probably some talk about the supar happi Iraqi people.
And don't forget the turd-polishing when it comes to the job market and the economy.

And it'll all be "in light of 9/11," such as: "We cannot forget, in the post 9/11 world, that loggers need better access to federal lands, and as such we must build more roads into the wilderness for National Security."

No matter what Bush says, there is no way he can say anything worse than the retarded phrase uttered by Kerry in the start of his DNC speech "Reporting for duty. . . . . . . ."
Yeah right, that extremely liberal flip flopper and person who gives aid & comfort to our enemies is "reporting for duty". Judging by his past behavior, it is apparent that he does not have what it takes to lead this country in any time of war. Leftists just have no clue about how to fight a war, it's as simple as that. Kerry is the dude who was jeapardizing American POW lives with his silly testimony. No wonder why so many vets cannot stand the guy.
Kerry wants to fight a "sensitive" war. Only morons would fight a "sensitive" war. We don't win wars by being sensitive. You win wars by kicking ass. Kerry reminds me of a Chamberlain, and we all know how wrong Chamberlain was.

Yes. They don't fund and create the enemies in the first place either.

He Who Must Not Be Named will either be trotted out in irons, like King Kong, or be completely absent.
The closest you'll get is a possible mention of Al Qaeda.

Who said I agreed with everything that's going on in Iraq ? I would've levelled those places a long time ago.
